Lara Pepper

I love nutritious food, exercise, and feeling as healthy as I can. After graduating University (Geography and Economics BSc) I spent two years working for a bank in London. I was commuting for two hours each way every day, and generally feeling unmotivated and unwell, so I decided it was time for a change.

Pilates Instructor; Sports Massage Therapist; and Nutritional Therapist

I retrained as a personal trainer and Pilates instructor, qualifying with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), London. I have an interest in rehabilitative Pilates, and specialise in low back pain, and ante and post-natal Pilates.

Following this I trained as a Sports Massage Therapist, with Sports Therapy UK (VTCT), to further complement my interest in anatomy and physiology, alongside functional movement.

I am also a Nutritional Therapist qualifying with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London, following three years of study. This included an in-depth study of anatomy and physiology, alongside knowledge of pathologies, and how nutritional therapy can help.

My interest in nutrition and health was sparked at the age of 17 when I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis (MG), a rare auto-immune disease, causing severe muscle weakness. Since being diagnosed I have undergone many conventional medical treatments, alongside complementary therapies such as exercise, diet and improving general well-being. I believe the fitter, stronger and happier you can be the better chance you give your body to get better.

Craig May – Sports Massage Therapist

C.M Sports Massage Therapy 

I am a qualified L3 and L4 Sports Massage Therapist Sports having trained at Sports Therapy UK. I am also studying a Masters Degree In Osteopathy with University College of Osteopathy in London.

A little bit about myself… Born and breed in New Zealand, I was involved in sports from a very young age. My family were also very much involved in sport so I just got the bug straight away. I have dabbled in most sports and as a result I have a great understanding on how the body responds to exercise and fitness. I trained as a personal trainer in the late 90’s and worked at various locations as a gym instructor and personal trainer.

I love helping people who suffer from aches and pains, injuries and dysfunctions and those who participate in sports and require lots of attention to their bodies to keep them going strong and continuing to make improvements. 

Although I do not commit to a specific sport or activity these days I do enjoy being outside, paddle boarding, mountain biking and most recently getting on my motorcycle to unwind. If I can find time in the near future I would love to get back to Judo which is a fantastic sport and very rewarding.

Tina – Pilates and Vitality Mama

Tina has been practicing Pilates for more than 15 years, after completing Pilates Foundation accredited training. She loves to share her passion to help people fulfil their potential. Tina is fascinated by bodies – anatomy and biodynamics and how they impact on a person’s mental and physical wellbeing. In her classes you’ll discover muscles you didn’t know you had. You’ll tone and define muscles you haven’t been able to see results with before, and release tense muscles providing more length and flexibility. Tina aims to make all her lessons enjoyable, challenging, informative and effective.

Faye – Barre Fitness

Faye is a trained Dancer and a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher. She gained her teaching qualifications from the Royal Academy of Dance, and runs a dance school registered with the RAD. She has passion for fitness and loves making it accessible for everyone no matter their age, ability or level. Faye has a strong interest in music so the eclectic playlist is enjoyable no matter how challenging the exercise! She loves meeting new people, passing on her love for Barre Fitness and especially seeing the amazing results it gives her clients!

Emma – Yoga

My name is Emma, I’m a Hatha Yoga teacher and qualified  Children’s Yoga teacher based  in Woodbridge in Suffolk. I am also a qualified level 2 Reiki practitioner. I am passionate about leading my students in a journey that inspires strength in body, mind and spirit. I am also passionate about dance and embodiment as a healing modality and am excited to launch my new class, Spirit Dance.
Classes I offer: Children’s Yoga; Teen Yoga; Family Yoga; Spirit Yoga (Adults, all levels); Spirit Dance (Fusion of Yoga and embodied dance, Adults all levels)

Vicky – Yoga

Hi I’m Vicky! I am a local yogi, proud to be Suffolk born and raised. I have been practicing yoga for eight years and received my Yoga Alliance Professionals (200hr) teaching qualification in 2019. Yoga, for me, is the constant practice of returning to the wild and free-spirited nature of our hearts; it is a practice that has saved me time and time again from dark and difficult periods of my life. I believe that yoga is for everyone – a way of life, of sacred soul-healing – and not just for ‘perfect’ instagram-worthy poses! My classes reflect my deep love of nature, music and dance and are suitable for all who feel a calling in their soul to be free and beautiful.

Mair – Yoga

I am a qualified 200h yoga teacher and a registered general nurse with 20 years of experience in healthcare and over a decade of personal yoga practice. I strongly believe that yoga is for every body and aim for my classes to be inclusive and student-centred.  

After experiencing all the incredible benefits of a regular yoga practice in my own life I am passionate about supporting others to reduce stress, improve their wellbeing and bring more joy to their lives. I teach a Hatha yoga; a slow paced, mindful class linking physical postures with our breath, and Yin; a super luxurious floor based practice where poses are held for 2-5 minutes in order to work more deeply into the body’s connective tissue. The effects of Yin yoga are said to be similar to that of a deep tissue massage.

Nicky – Mum and Baby Yoga

My name is Nicky, I’m a fitness instructor, children’s yoga and pregnancy & postnatal yoga instructor. I run Lemonade Collective and my goal with this is to empower, develop and support women on their fitness journey. 
The class I offer at Lara Pepper Studio: Mum & Baby Yoga on Mondays at 10.30am – Basic yoga sequences for mothers to help ease and open achy bodies while baby gets to develop motor skills and enjoy the sounds and interactions with mum and other babies. My goal with this class is to help support you through the initial recovery and rehabilitation phase following the birth of your baby. Breastfeeding and bottle feeding welcome, bum changes expected!! Classes are suitable from 6 weeks following a vaginal delivery and once you have had your GP check, and 12 weeks following a caesarean delivery.  Babies up to crawling welcome, please bring a blanket to pop on the mat underneath baby.

Neville and Moni

Neville and Moni -the setters behind the scenes.

Neville is always keen to help with the creation of the quarterly newsletter, and helps with any administrative jobs, especially anything that involves shredding. He is always looking to keep things interesting and actively encourages regular breaks to run around and get the heart rate up. His main interests are yogurt pots, running and sneaking onto the sofa for a cuddle.

Moni has taken it upon herself to actively correct posture during Lara’s Pilates practice, so you can be sure that you are in the correct position. She is very loving but also likes to get her point across and can be quite vocal at times. Her main interests include playing with Neville and her toy zebra.
